How GOTOVO handles files, technical data and analytics. Most file operations run locally in the browser.
Files
Most GOTOVO PDF and image tools process selected files directly in the user's browser. Source files are not uploaded to GOTOVO servers to perform operations such as PDF merge/split, OCR, conversion, resizing, text overlays, secure redaction and other PDF Workshop functions.
Some features download WebAssembly/JavaScript modules and OCR language models from gotovo.tools. This downloads processing software to the user's device; it does not send the source PDF to an external OCR service.
Technical requests and internet diagnostics
When the site is opened, the browser requests HTML, JavaScript, images and other resources from the hosting/CDN infrastructure. Like most websites, hosting infrastructure may process standard HTTP request data such as IP address, request time, browser type and requested resource.
The internet diagnostic tool intentionally makes network requests to GOTOVO/Vercel infrastructure to estimate latency, jitter, failed HTTP-request ratio and approximate download speed. It can also display the user's public IP address.
Analytics
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics. GOTOVO may send technical usage events such as page views, selected tool, operation start/completion, interface language, number of selected files and success/failure. File contents and file names are intentionally excluded from these events. Our analytics integration strips query parameters and URL fragments before sending page URLs.
Third-party sites
Links to directories, search engines, marketplaces or other external resources lead to independent websites. Their own privacy policies govern their data practices.
Changes
The service evolves, so this policy may be updated when data-processing behavior changes. The current version is published on this page.
